The photos on this page show granular slow release fertiliser
and this is the safest recommendation we can make. This kind of fertiliser
can be bought at most good garden centres and hardware stores but please do
make sure it says it is designed for natives on the packet as not all are.

Other fertilisers can be used but be very cautious of anything high in phosphorus
i.e. chook poo and some other animal manures. We have used small amounts
of blood and bone in the bottom of the hole when planting and found this to
be beneficial as the plant gets older.
